Provide Structural Engineering support for all projects executed by Engineering and projects department, ensure design optimization and the application of correct codes and standards in the development of projects, works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and coordinate/interact with company project management team, site personnel, external consultant and ensures successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct feasibility studies, in-house engineering for small and medium size projects.

• Develops business cases, execution strategies and Statement Of Requirements; prepare Scope of Work for external consultant.

• Review bid documents for engineering services, prepare technical queries, provide bid clarifications and ensure that bidders comply with company requirements; participate in the technical evaluation of tenders and issuance of recommendations.

• Monitor the performance of the engineering contractors/consultants and provide necessary design input and follow-up during the execution of basic and detailed engineering.

• Review the design works and studies performed by the engineering consultants and ensure that they are in accordance with the technical requirements. Review and approve drawings, specification and technical documents for all structural design elated works.

• Participate in the prequalification of engineering consultants/vendor and review the bidders list.

• Provide input/update engineering procedures, company standards, specifications, design philosophies and guidelines.

• 15 Years experience in analysis and design of Offshore Structures (Jackets, Topsides, Modules and Foundations) from conceptual through detailed design.

• Proficient in the SEASAM structural analysis software and ability to perform in place, fatigue, modules, transportation, lifting and on-bottom analysis.

• Familiar with the Codes (API, RP2A, WSD and AISC),

• Having sufficient experience producing and reviewing details structural drawings. Capable of preparing Construction Scope/Specifications and performing technical bid evaluations.

• B.Sc. Civil/Structural Engineering

• Master Degree in Structural Engineering/Offshore Structures is preferable.
