• Prepare conceptual cost estimates for new field development – MEGA Projects – using QUE$TOR, ICARUS) |
• Prepares project cost estimates for various types of capital development projects and major maintenance schemes in adequate estimates class, details and accuracy and passes, through supervisor, for management/shareholder’s approval. |
•Prepare cost estimates upon receiving scope of work by projecting historical data to reflect present and anticipated market trends and or develop cost estimates from first principle by analysis and determining total resources required, i.e. man-hour, manpower, duration, material and equipment. |
•Participate in Cost/Schedule risk session to analyze impacts on Cost/Budget and determine appropriate unallocated provisions using suitable software (CTISTALBALL, BRISK or similar) |
•Analyze major project variation orders and contractors claims to assess values and recommended actions. |
•Participates as Task Force Member for cost effective feasibility studies, quantified risk assessment and optimization studies for new schemes/modifications. |
•Evaluates construction bids and provides advisory services/cost comparison to Asset Development during the construction bids analysis against the Construction Cost Estimates, to achieve the most economic lump sum prices. |
•Participates with Project Team in producing negotiating strategies and actual involvement in negotiations with contractors until contract finalization and in appraisal/approval of contract variant orders for various projects. |
•Determines construction methods and logistics for implementation and construction schedule to produce activity duration cost estimates. |
•Carries out cost estimates assuring alternative implementation strategies and provides recommendation for most economical options. |
•Develop detailed construction cost estimates, which is considered as yardsticks by which contractor’s tenders are appraised. |
